auberge du pommier

Some forgotten photos here, back from the days of Summerlicious. I can only wish that Summerlicious lasted longer. It would be lovely if it was for the entire summer! The prices are amazing for such beautiful restaurants. Next year I'm making sure I swing by all the spots I want to and snap up the deals. And I must not forget Winterlicious.

This year I went to only one restaurant for Summerlicious, and that was Auberge du Pommier. It's a cozy, little restaurant that serves modern French cuisine, constructed within two 1860's cottages. I really enjoyed the dimly lit, romantic and classy ambiance.

There were only a few selections from the Summerlicious menu but I wasn't complaining. The appetizer I chose came with cottage ham and a potato salad, pictured above. To drink I had a raspberry lemonade which was delicious! My summer drink of late has been really any mix with lemonade.

The main I chose was a chicken schnitzel with a frisée salad. I assure you there's a large piece of meat under all those greens (I was confused too).

The dessert was undeniably the best part of the meal. A warm hazelnut cake with candied hazelnut, Nutella, caramelized banana, and hazelnut ice-cream — to die for!

This is definitely a place I'd give a second visit. It's sad to say that this was my only Summerlicious meal but boy was it good! You find all their info on their website by clicking
